Research 7

Another way that teenagers are given a bad image inb the media is the use of comic strips and cartoon images for example.http://www.cartoonstock.com/newscartoons/directory/s/school_violence.asp this web-address shows cartoon images that have been created to show school violence, the problem with these cartoons is they paint a exagerated pichure of school violence for example example them wearing bulletproof vests for school.i will look at more cartoon stereotype images to help give me a better understanding of young people in the media.

Research 6

This i decided to focus my research a recent program on T.V. This program is called The Pride Of Britain Awards, it focuses on the success the british citizens accomplish, many are acts of selfless acts of bravery (Real Awards Real Heroes). This program promote a positive image of young people in the media, so this is a prgram i plan to analyse in a great deal. An example of a postive image that this program produces is for example there is a positive story that is the opposite to all the stereotypes given to teenagers. A young teenager whos mum was ill because she did not get enough vitamin D, her son found that during their holiday the sun helped her, after the holiday the son went on to researching and then he raised it to the goverment and now he goes around with well known politians argueing his point. This shows that he is commited and brave and not lazy or selfish.

Research 2 programs

So far in my research i have found how teenagers are repsented in the media, and so far i have came to the conclusion that its a negative opion. So i set out to change this opion in order to do so i will need relevent statistics which i plan to get in later research. Firstly though i want to analyse two TV programs that repesent teenagers, both promote a negative image of teenagers in the media. These programs are going to be Waterloo road and also the Inbetweeners.

Firstly i would like to do a quick sum up of a waterloo road  episode in this episode it  shows a troubled teenage lad and his x girlfriend (Maxine), the teenager boy turtored by love decides to shoot Maxine.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1Gumxj21Fw

This partucular scene shows a bad image of teenagers, as it links to the news in many ways which is how they show them full of emotion but manly agression.(i will come back to this episode of Waterloo Road and analyse it in more detail and taken in consideration of other episodes).

Next on the engender is The Inbetweeners, this show covers the lives of four reblious teenagers, that simply sum up the attitude towards teenagers in the media for example bad language and distruction of property. For example the next clip i show is a scene from The inbetweeners and it highlights both of these poiints very clearly.

But although this program shows reblious teenagers it does prove a valid point theres only four there so its not like every teenager repesents themselves in that maner, and it also shows that teenagers are just looking to have fun for example when will says "i must admit that was brilliant".
